There is a weird thumping noise coming from what sounds like the roof or attic.
Lately ive been hearing this thump like an acorn falling on the roof.
Humming or buzzing noises from a lighting fixture could point to a loose wire as well but with lights there s a good chance that something else is to blame.
Most of the noises seem to be coming from the top of the walls.
Could be anything from solar heating causing expansion and subsequent cooling of metal roofing thermal or moisture cycling of the joists noise from an attic mounted furnace air conditioner or water heater creaking air ducts a large animal taking up residence like a racoon or as extreme as overloading of a weakened roof or ice.
We d bet that as part of the roofing job either the roofer added or replaced some wood.
Fast moving scurrying noises are often rodents like.
