Repair Leak Gutter

Is this something i can fix myself or do i need to replace my leaking gutters.

Apply a bead of silicone caulk to one of the parts at the joint area then reassemble the gutter system. The area needs to be clean so a small replacement sheet of plastic will fit tightly into place. Cut the caulk with a utility knife. Use an extension ladder to gain access to the gutter. Use these instructions as a basic guideline when repairing gutter leaks. Apply silicone or special gutter caulking compound along the seams on the inside and outside to seal the leaks as shown above.

Once the leak point has been pinpointed scrub the area around the crack to remove any buildup. Remove the old silicone caulk from the joint connection. Time after time we see the failed efforts of well intentioned diy ers head up the ladder and attempt to silicone and spray their way to success. If water is leaking where the gutter and downspout jointly connect repair the joint connection.
